Here is a terribly boring and cliche “about me” page statement: I’m an amateur home cook who loves cooking, eating, creating recipes, and taking pictures of food. I know that sounds like every other food blogger on the Internet but I am what I am.
I used to enter cooking and recipe contests, and I had a blast traveling all over the country to compete on the contest cooking circuit for about ten years or so. I won cash and prizes for my recipes, and was even on TV several times. Those were the good old days.
My cooking has changed over the last couple of years. We have some food sensitivities in our family now, so most of the recipes I create are centered around that. Plus, I’m getting older and I watch what I eat more. I’m eating less processed food, and more vegetables and fruits. But just to be completely honest, I am not above eating a burger from a local fast food joint every once in a while. All things in moderation.
To conclude this riveting mini-biography, I love wildflowers, fishing on Buckatunna Creek with my husband, and long walks at sunrise.
And just so you know, I think raisins come from the devil and they have no place in my life.
That is all.
Except to say that I really love this verse right here…
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Colossians 3:23
PS. I’m really glad you’re here!
